Pregnancy

A woman’s body undergoes significant physical and hormonal changes throughout pregnancy as it adapts to support the growth and development of her baby. Chiropractic care can help support your body during this time by improving movement, reducing discomfort, and helping your nervous system function at its best.

Pregnancy chiropractic adjustments offer relief for round ligament tension, lower back and sciatica pain, alongside postural imbalances. Most importantly, it optimizes pelvic alignment to help ease labour and encourage optimal fetal positioning.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe, gentle and comfortable. We utilise the Websters Technique; a gentle chiropractors approach designed specifically for pregnancy.

And guess what… you get to lie on your tummy! Serena has custom-made the dreamiest pregnancy pillows, and when combined with our adjustable chiro tables there is plenty of room for bubs, some women up to 42 weeks!

Labour, Birth & Postpartum

Restoring pelvic alignment, reducing ligament tension and optimizing fetal positioning are all essential for preparing your pelvis for birth. Our adjustments are designed to encourage a natural and physiological transition into motherhood.

Following birth, chiropractic care can help to restore movement, ease the physical demands of caring for your newborn, and support your recovery as your body heals.

We strongly encourage women to attend their postpartum Mums & Bubs sessions, as birth places significant physical demands on the nervous systems of both mother and baby. This early postpartum period is a valuable time to support maternal wellbeing, encourage healthy nervous system regulation and assess babies neurodevelopmen.

Gentle chiropractic care can help the whole family transition into this next chapter with the best possible foundation.

Breech Presentations

Concerned your baby may be in a breech position? Serena combines Websters Chiropractic adjustments with Spinning Babies Techniques to address areas of tension and restriction in the pelvis. This creates more available space and encourages baby to turn into a more optimal position, if safe for them to do so. When a baby turns head down, it opens up more options for labour and birth; increasing the possibility for a natural physiological labour.

It is never too early or too late to seek out chiropractic care! Whether you’ve only just found out, or you’re approaching your due date, we encourage you to book in and let us put you at ease.
