Initial Consultation

Your first visit is an opportunity for us to learn about you, starting with a thorough history taking. Your lifestyle, previous trauma and everyday stressors can help to highlight the root cause of your dysfunction. We assess your posture, gait and movement, alongside range of motion measuring flexibility and limitations. When necessary we use neurological and orthopaedic tests to rule in and out diagnoses. X-rays can be a useful tools for diagnosis and chiropractic analysis, should these be required. A full Spinal Exam is perfomed, as we analyse for areas of nervous system stress; imbalance and joint restriction. If appropriate, your first chiropractic adjustment will be performed.

Report of Findings

Your Second visit, the Report of Findings, is your review session. We discuss the results from your initial consultation, and your Chiropractor will explain what was found, why the dysfunction may have developed, your personalised care plan with home care recommedations and a review of any imaging results. This sessions ensures you have a clear understanding of the roadmap for achieving your health and wellness goals.

Tracking Progress

To ensure measureable outomes, at certain stages throughout your care plan we re-test your initial findings. We refine and optimise your care plan further, for optimal healing.

X-Ray Analysis

X-Rays are a valuable tool for assessing the health of your spine. Chiropractors utilise them for analysis of alignment, indicating where and how to best adjust segments of the spine. X-rays are also useful for revealing postural changes, degeneration and ruling out pathologies. At your initial consultation, should X-ray be required, we refer externally for these – often to our affiliate provider, Pacific Radiology.

FAQs

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between the spine, nervous system, and overall body function. Our goal is to restore movement and function which allows the nervous system work as efficiently as possible.

Is Chiropractic safe?

Yes, absolutely. Chiropractic care is considered safe when performed by a qualified and registered chiropractor. We take a thorough history, assess your spine and nervous system carefully, and tailor a care plan specifically to you. If chiropractic isn’t appropriate, we’ll refer you to the right healthcare provider.

Can you lodge an ACC claim for me?

Yes! If you have a new injury, one of our chiropractors will assess your condition and if appropriate, lodge an ACC claim on your behalf. Our reception team will guide you through the paperwork. If you already have an existing ACC Claim (ACC45 number), give these details to our reception team. If the Read Code falls within the chiropractic scope of practice, we can upload the claim and continue your care under ACC.

Do you offer concession rates?

Yes, our mums & bubs sessions and ACC sessions are offered at a reduced rate.

Can I see a Chiropractor while pregnant?

Yes! You’ll even get to lie on your tummy, thanks to our soft squishy pregnancy chiropractic pillows :)
